She wanted to remember the exploits of Chonino , back in the 80s. The dog was a large, long-haired German Shepherd working alongside the Federal Police .
This German sheepdog was born in April 1975 and, two years later, in October 1977, he was chosen to be part of the Dog Division of the Federal Police. Chinino, the police dog who died like a hero
On June 2, 1983, Chonino worked with a guide, Petty Officer Luis Sibert, who in turn shared tasks with another agent, Jorge Iani. Around 20 o'clock they ran into two people whose attitudes seemed suspicious, so they decided to stop them and ask them for documentation to identify them, but, immediately, the men started a shootout in which they injured the officers.
Sibert, on the ground and seriously injured, gave Chonino his voice to act and the animal began to run towards the criminals, catching up with one . Upon seeing him, the other thug fired a bullet at him that went through his torso and thus they managed to escape.

With the last of his strength , Chonino approached his guide and died in his lap. Although the dog's body was still, its jaw seemed tense and, upon observing it, the officers noticed that it was biting a piece of cloth, which turned out to be the pocket of one of the criminals that contained the documentation that allowed them to be detained for days. later.
